The Gathering... | Berserker

Berserker

Description

The berserker warrior embodies primal fury and unyielding ferocity, a relentless force of destruction on the battlefield. Each swing of their weapon is driven by an unbridled rage, as they revel in the visceral thrill of carnage and the intoxicating scent of blood. Battle and pain fuels them as they lose themselves in the fight itself.

RP Advantages and Skills

Relentless: [Automatic] Following four consecutive attacks [does not require successful hit], any successful attack roll after the initial four attacks allows the Berserker to roll on the Special Weapons Affects table. (see help rp-weapon-damage) If the berserker chooses not to or cannot take and attack on a turn, the relentless effect is lost and the attack counter resets to 0.

Chain attack: Once per combat encounter, if a berserker is at less than 20% HP, they can roll to attack an opponent until they miss the attack or the opponent is dead. They roll consecutive melee combat hit roll (d20+hit roll) and may keep rolling until they miss it or the opponent is dead. If they are surrounded or flanked, they will start attacking the next enemy at random with chain attack. If the Berserker is unable to attack an enemy in the next round, they must make a Willpower save versus DC12 + the number of enemies they killed with chain attack. IF they fail they will attack the nearest ally. Every failed save increases the DC by +1.

Battle Rage: Once per day a berserker may sacrifice 40% of their HP to gain +2HR, +2DR and +1 attack per round. This does not stack with Bloodlust.

Bloodlust: [Automatic] As a Berserker takes damage their Damroll increases. This is not limited to the +10 Maximum. This does not stack with Battle Rage. The increases are as follows:

  • Below 75% Max HP = +1 DR
  • Below 50% Max HP = +2 DR
  • Below 25% Max HP = +4 DR
During Bloodlust, when the Berserker falls below 25% Max HP, they may try to "Shake Off" damage by rolling a Fortitude save versus the damage, if they roll above the damage, they only take half. If they roll a 19 or 20 on the roll without going above the damage, they only take half.
