Races

Standard Races

The races found in the Standard category are the general, familiar races to fantasy settings. They are good starter races to familiarize yourself with the world and setting and tend to have a wide range of personalities, preferences, ethos, and homelands. While The Gathering has a unique spin on some of them, they should have a familiar feeling.

Some of these races have various sub-races and/or sub-cultures that are well known in the world and may even be considered their own race. While they are seen as distinct, they share a common biolgy and the difference is, more or less, skin deep.

Mixed Races

The races found in the Mixed category are the races that are the hybrid of two different races. Like the Standard races, they are good starter races to familiarize yourself with the world and setting and tend to have a wide range of personalities, preferences, ethos, and homelands. While The Gathering has a unique spin on some of them, they should have a familiar feeling.

Some of these races have various sub-races and/or sub-cultures that are well known in the world and may even be considered their own race. While they are seen as distinct, they share a common biolgy and the difference is, more or less, skin deep.

Anthropomorphic Races

The races found in the Anthropomorphic category are the races that have features of both humanoids and animal. They can be at varying levels of anthropomorphism, from full 'furry' to human with ears, tail and minor features. They tend to have the qualities of their animal race in personality and vulnerabilities and advantages, making them widely variable. The Gathering has a unique spin on these races, that, while familiar, does set them apart from common convention.

Some of these races have various sub-races and/or sub-cultures that are well known in the world and may even be considered their own race. While they are seen as distinct, they share a common biolgy and the difference is, more or less, skin deep.
