They are named after the fortress they were bred to defend, and the entire race views themselves as guardians. Fortress Kobolds rarely stray far from their home, and those who do often set up remote outposts or small communities that follow the same strict codes of conduct and honor. Many of the greatest legends among Fortress Kobolds involve battles where they held the line against impossible odds, often winning through sheer determination and strategic brilliance. They are highly respected among kobold-kind for their strength and discipline.
