General Physical Description & Biology

Saurots have slender forms and can reach heights of nearly seven feet, resulting in lean and lanky appearances. Their physique varies from skeletal thin to curvaceous. Their skin is distinct in that is completely matte in dull, washed out silver and grey hues. This skin is semi-light sensitive and almost seems to absorb light reflected on it on the matte surface. There is a distinct lack of any facial hair growth (No eyebrows, lashes, mustaches, or beards). They have high hair lines from which the naturally wavy or even curly hair grows in thick locks of any shade of grey between white and black. It is common for many to have sharp, predatory features and bone structure, as a rule of the race. This can vary widely in how the features come together in term of beauty. They tend to prefer raw or fresh meat in their diet. However, they have been known to 'drain' the color and vibrancy from the food they consume- like berries and other fruit and vegetables as well. (There are rumor, that they can do this to the living, but it has not been proven to be true.) Their razor sharp teeth absorbing the nutrients from them in the form of color- leaving them depleted. These teeth are razor sharp like blades- not pointed like fangs, but rather a sharp line. Like their opposite, the Ambar-Nelath, they have retractable wings they can shapeshift with.

Basic Personality

A unique talent of the Saurots is the natural knack of torture (physical and mental) and a wide imagination in the area. They can be extremely regal in appearance and often carry an air of dominant superiority in their wake. There is evidence that saurots are keen learners with incredible intellect. They turn this sharp minded nature to a variety of purposes. While some may excel in physical professions such as rogues, assassins and such, they are more likely to be naturally gifted in the professions requiring mental skills and challenges.

Origin and Lore

The theory is that these beings are a tribute to the Goddess Zranic and the Goddess Kasim, or as some rumors suggest, their own creation to come into being at the time they did. What is known is that the Zrankas-Saurot came into being at the end of the last C.H.E.S.S. game held across several continents. This game takes place every 888 years and always tends to come with a great change. The last game brought into being two races, the Zrankas-Saurot and their mirrored cousin the Ambar-Nelath. Naming Convention

They tend toward elvish style names and most have strong pride in family bonds and trace their lineage back through to their origin at the C.H.E.S.S. game.

They prefer places away from the light, but also enjoy social settings and cities.
