Known Lore:
Algarath Thornbrush is the father of Kyozou, Drexxa and Kedanna. Very little is known of him with many refusing to speak of him out of fear of drawing this attention. His cruelty is matched only by his power, making him feared even among his own kind. He is known to do something far worse than killing his enemies- he can remove them from creation itself, robbing them of existence and thus an afterlife. He was trapped by the Goddess Ariana and the combined powers of some of the original Gods of Tirradyn in a blade known as Void Breaker and it seemed like that would be the end of his story. Over time the blade was lost, finding its way around the realms. It found its way into the hands of the first king of Balmorral, a small crack in the magical blade allowed some of Algarath's power to seep out and control the King. Using that small bit of power he took over Balmorral, deceiving them and guiding their beliefs and government through the Kings under the disguise of the One God. Algarath was freed from Void Breaker when it was shattered while heroes were trying to counter-attack against Balmorral's invasion and war on the Empire of Dragondale. Algarath swore vengeance on the Gods, starting with the Ikons, beginning his slaughter, to remove several of the Ikons from existence.
Origin:
One of the first true gods, Algarath is believed to be older than physical reality itself. He moves from realm to realm feasting on its creation to drain that power for himself through unmaking. Seeking to bring all of creation under his thumb he tricked Miraelle, a goddess of life and community, to become his wife and birth his children. Miraelle learned of his true nature too late and in an attempt stop his plans threw Drexxa from the realm to parts unknown and sealed Kedanna's divine powers. Kyozou's powers had already set in and she was unable to do anything to protect him from Algarath, who sent him to the Belet Balati (the God's Prison). Enraged with his plans foiled, he erased Miraelle from creation. He seethed, unable to deal with someone spoiling his plans and he ate that realm's Gods one after another, weakening the realm as a whole. That realm finally crumbled when Kedanna fled it with Ariana. Algarath followed her and Ariana to the new realm, to Tirradyn. Here he created demons, twisting the creations he found with his power of Damnation. It is because of him that Demons do not share their true name, he can control them through the name and as such, he always knows the true name of any demon he encounters.
