What deity an Angel tends to follow usually passes along a bloodline, father to son, mother to daughter, generation after generation of a "family" may worship a single god. If this cycle is broken and a young Angel follows a different god from her family's, it is frowned upon, but excepted as the parents accept that it is an Angel's place to serve their god above all other things.
Unsurprisingly the vast majority of Angels take the path of the cleric, calling upon their god for their abilities. A fair number also tend to devote themselves to the study of weapons in order to lead their god's followers upon the fields of battle.
