Bastion of Illumination
Ravidya values innovation and ingenuity- creation and science. She grants those who have completed her Trials of illumination her Ability. They must posess the Sphere of Illumination to use her ability, using it to channel her inspiration to them. This is a skill of mental illumination, adaptation and ingenuity. Using The Bastion of Illumination allows someone to change and refine their skills and spells.
Activation:
This Ability takes 1 full round to activate. This will last 1d4 rounds after activation. It may only be activated once per day.
Concentration Check if Disrupted: Willpower DC = Spellcaster DC for Headache OR DC = Damage taken.
Effects:
1. While in the influence of Bastion of Illumination, the player cannot fail Wisdom, Intelligence, Willpower or Perception Checks. They may also be granted insight per DM discretion.
2. They may "upgrade" a Spell or Skill.
- Roll a Wisdom or Intelligence Roll, the skill activates and allows them to upgrade a chosen ability by 1 "step".
- For every +2 over the 10, the player may add 1 extra step to a chosen ability.
Step:
Range Type:
Melee/Touch -> Ranged (15ft) -> AoS -> AoE Lesser (10ft cone) -> AoE Greater (20ft Sphere)
Attack Syntax:
Standard -> Advantage Roll -> No Fail Check -> Auto Hit -> Auto Crit
Damage:
Standard -> +1 Damage Dice -> Max Damage -> Standard Damage roll x2 -> Max Dam x2
Duration:
Standard -> Rounds +2 -> Max Rounds +2 -> Full Combat -> Full Adventure -> Full Day
Effects:
Discuss with DM; examples include no saving throw, change effect, add effect, change IRV/Sphere, Damage Type, etc.
Example: George uses Bastion of Illumination, taking a full round to activate the Illumination. He rolls a wisdom check of 1d20 +5 = 16, This means he may add 1 + 6/2 = 4 steps in total to his next action. He chooses to use this on a Lightning Lance:
Range + 2 steps: Ranged -> Area of Sight -> AoE Lesser (10ft cone)
To Hit + 2 Steps: Standard -> Advantage -> no fail check
This means that when he shoots the lightning lance, it hits everyone in the "cone of fire" and rolls 1d20 to ensure a no fail check to hit. He would still roll damage standard.
