Butterfly catching is a mini-game available in the Mystical Rose Garden for newbies below level 30, just south of Dragondale Square. Catching butterflies can provide a source of coin for those who may not be so inclined to go monster killing all day, or just a fun distraction.
To begin, you need a butterfly net and some bait (nectar.) Once you are in the Garden and are holding the butterfly net, you can type BAIT to begin your quest to catch a butterfly. Eventually you may see a message prompting you to use the NET command to try to catch it. If you wish to cease your search, you can use the STOP SEARCH command to abort.
Butterflies afterward can be sacrificed, or sold for gold to Aunt Butterbee, who resides in the same area.
