Incased in the petal of a yellow rose, the essence of Cherady waited to be born. As the goddess of love and chaos, Kedanna herself was walking by, the fingers of the misty morning caressed the rose and Cherady began to arise from the gorgeous rose and behold the garden as she never saw it before. Of course it also helped that Kedanna had lowered her hand to just above that very rose as the morning light touched it. As the essence of Cherady reformed, the rose began to wilt and the beauty incased her once more, changing her into the form of a faerie. The petals from nearby roses cloaked her in filmy silky clothing, while her mischievious green eyes were like those of glittering emeralds. Two butterflies landed upon her shoulders and kissed her back, lending her the wings from their own bodies. Her skin was like the white rose and her hair glimmered like the golden rose. She was named the goddess of beauty because no other could compare with her radiance.
The fully formed Cherady was taken to the court of the gods and goddesses where she flourished and spread beauty to all. She was playful and mischievous, and of course loved laughter and sugar just as much as any other faerie. She created the fey in her image, and the fluttery little creatures became well known in the realm after a time. Young maidens worshiped her on Beauties Caress because she was known as the mother of all faeries and because of her endless beauty. They hoped to remain as beautiful as they are in their youth. Many young men sought her and tried to claim her as their own. Being a mischievous goddess, she often played hard to get, or let them chase after her just for fun. Her symbol is the humming bird, and every now and then, a lock of hair may be left behind on accident. It's said that those locks bring good luck and vitality and are used in jewelry as talismans. She can be a vain little faerie at times, but vanity comes with beauty.
As for Cherady's deeds, many a tale could be spun about her. She would often watch children and tickle their tiny faces with pinches of faerie dust. Their little joyous laughter brought smiles and happiness to her being. On a bad day, it has been told she would leave a changeling in the place of a child and attempt to raise the human children on her own, or send them to the courts of the fey. Being a fun and mischievous fey, as most are, she would work with Dionacus whom taught her the secrets of wine. With his help she created the first faerie wine, sprinkled with a pinch of faerie dust. It would enthrall anyone who drank it and give them visions of beauty and things beyond their world. She adored sweets and was fond of pranking them, as well as creating spun sugar replicas of flowers, herself and other beautiful things. Wherever she walked, she was followed by the sweet melodies of the fey which were pleasing to the ear. Her humming birds brought her nectar which she used for herself or for varying degrees of mischief. She loved fun, beauty, laughter and adored the bright yellow-gold roses like the one she created within, that brilliant yellow becoming known to be her favorite color. It is said that a kiss from her would leave your skin radiant for days.
