Syntax:
focus manifest - materialize the clerical foci item
focus check, grace, or soulfragment - check total charges
focus <spell> <target> [amount] - channel charge into a spell
focus <spell1> <spell2> <target> - dual cast a buff/debuff and a spell
focus name/short/long/extended/ed - personalize your current focus
The cleric creates a small, physical reliquary to serve as a divine focus. This object captures and holds charges of grace or soul fragments. The cleric can then expend these charges to empower their castings.
Gaining Grace or Soul Fragment Charges
On successful direct casts (not focus casts, and not finishers) that hit the target or targets, charges are gained automatically. Bishops gather Grace in their cleric focus by using of HEALING and ENHANCEMENT BUFFS. Outcasts gather Soul Fragments in their cleric focus using of DAMAGE and AOE DAMAGING spells. Their gain rate is as follows:
Single-target: 1d4 charges
Area spells: (targets/2)d4 charges (round up)
(1-2 targets: 1d4; 3-4 targets: 2d4; 5-6 targets: 3d4; etc.)
Using Grace and Soul Fragments
Bishops and Outcasts channel through their focus to enhance damaging and healing spells. The amount of charges expended increases either their damage or healing rate.
focus <spell> <target> [amount] channels Grace/Soul Fragments into a spell that is either damage or healing. Amount defaults to 1. For area spells, each +1 bonus requires 3 charges.
Bishop and outcasts can also dual cast specific spells through their Foci. Dual casting will use the entire charge (focus <spell1> <spell2> <target>). Spell2 Must be one of the following spells:
Outcasts: withering, maladroit, impotence, grotesque, witless, or obtuse blasphemy
Bishops: prayer of might, deftness, stamina, charm, insight, or wisdom
Grace and Soul Fragments are also spent summoning empty altar and holy altar, which require full charge.

Remarks: Summoning a clerical foci will let the user gather charges. A Foci may hold up to 4 charges. For each target that is hit with the appropriate spell type, 1 charge is gained. Once charges are gained, the user may expend charges an increase the number of damage dice by 1 for each charge. (EG. a spell does 2d6 + Spell Damroll, 2 charges spent will now do 4d6 + Spell Damroll). You cannot gain charges from any spell cast using the Focus. Area of affect Spells use 3 charges to cast.
NOTE: A BISHOP gains charges using HEALING or ENHANCEMENT spells. An OUTCAST gains charges on DAMAGE of DEBUFF spells.
