Currently in the money system, your money is secure. It can be stolen by thieves, of course, but it's otherwise safe in the bank at least. However, our money system is not very immersive, nor very in character for the times.
In medieval times, people often carried their coin in pouches and purses. To this effect, I've coded a new coinpurse item type. Builders will eventually be adding these to their areas, I imagine, and I may add them into the loot drop code at some point as well. You can put coins in them, get coins out either individually, in groups, or via 'get all'. You can look in them and see how much coin you have in there. They can be attached to belts in the same manner as containers.
Trell has changed over the coin purse in Pilferer's Paradise in the southern half of Qith if you wish to play around with it. (That item is completely stringable as well.) Hopefully this will provide another level of immersion in the game.
