CONFLAGRATION
Conflagration This is a spell granted to only a select few of Rayth's
followers, and only those who revere the Art. It is not restricted to
mages, nor are those who only have a minor dabbling in magic exempt. (OOC:
People with magical-based subclasses can get it too.) Typically, only his
Chosen (champions) will receive this spell. By summoning the azure flames
of Rayth's favor, people have the power to heal, to harm, and to strip away
mortal enchantments. For example, in combat, the Conflagration can be used
as a powerful attack against a deadly foe. It can also be used to heal
someone from greivous injury, even bringing them back from the brink of
death. When it strips enchantments, it strips all mortal enchantments. It
cannot be used to remove divinely-placed spells or enchantments.
RP Combat Information:
Spell Type: Ranged/Touch
Attack Syntax: 1d20 [Check for Critical Failure]
Damage: 4d5 + <SpellDamroll>
Damage Type: Magic
Automatic Hit: Yes
Saving Throw: No
Melee Spell: Varies
Critical Strike Mod: x2 (8d5 + SpellDamroll>)
Remarks: Azure Flames spring forth from the caster's palms, engulfing the target and healing, damaging them, or stripping away magical protections. The Conflagration can be used as a ranged spell, sending azure fire coursing through the air to consume the caster's enemies. It can also be used as a melee spell, particulary for healing. Similar to the laying on of hands, the caster presses their hands to the wounded individual and wills the azure flames to fill their body, knitting wounds together.
Regardless of use, this can only be used once per day.
