Daevulf are most commonly the product of rape, some Demon taking advantage of a Mrem or a Succubus seducing her way to a child. In either event, Daevulf can be the product of nearly any demonic being and a Mrem, though they are most commonly raised among their feline cousins.
Like most half-breeds, the Daevulf do not have societies of their own. More often than not they exist on the fringes of Mremish society, outcast from the families that raised them. Sometimes they live near their demonic parent, though this situation is often much more rare. In either event, a Hell-Cat's life is spent mostly in solitude, unless he or she is accepted into a group of demons or finds a few mortal friends to be with.
Since Daevulf are often outcasts, they often learn to fend for themselves, whether through taking and stealing from others or through geting what they can from nature or society. Vicious hunters with no qualms of eating raw meat, Daevulf can survive in the wild even with little training in the field.
Daevulf follow many of the same paths that a Mrem does, natural feline agility lending itself well to the profession of a rogue. They also can access magic, especially darker forms of both arcane and divine magics, rather easily with the correct demonic parentage. Daevulf born from more physically-inclined strains of demons can become powerful warriors. Hell-Cats can take up the path of the ranger at times, often focusing on the darker side of nature, being dangerous predators.
Because Daevulf tend to vary so much, mating practices are hard to pin down. Rarely do Daevulf find one who is willing to mate with them for life, so many Hell-Cats resort to rape to relieve certain "frustrations."
