As many truly evil clerical people tend to do, demonologists are dark clerics that have chosen to delve into the more demonic areas of magic. Though the name suggests a demon oriented field, the truth is actually a
wider range than this. Through studying the dark arts and demonic powers,
demonologists have a firm grasp on a wide array of magics from all of the
dark clerical classes as well as many unique spells. Not only this, but
they are able to summon and control lesser demons and if strong enough,
greater demons. They are also familiar with elemental based magics from
having studied fire demons, ice demons, and other elemental varieties. It
is entirely possible for a player to rp specializing research on a specific demon and gaining powers other than normal, such as a succubi's ability to
charm and sway others. Demonologists from a combat standpoint will tend to
rely on their wide array of damage inflicting spells as well as their
weakening spells and other darker arts. They will be able to use bladed
weapons as effectively as acolytes though they tend to favor battle axes and polearms for the sheer glee of the amount of violence that they provide and
will use these more effectively than other weapons. As saints are often
seen as the paragon of good, demonologists are the most vile of evil, using their abilities to tear down and harm others as often as they can in a myriad of ways.
