Breeding

At one time in their history, Draconians may have been able to interbreed with humans or possibly (though unlikely and unheard of) Dragons. Their myths tell of how a dragon and a human fell in love, and were later destroyed. Draconians were their children, and to this day they carry in their hearts the hatred that was born from their parents slaughter. Now, however, Draconians have so diverged from their two parent races that they can only breed with one another. Having half the gestation period of a human at only 22-23 weeks, a draconian mother may hold a singular egg, or rarely a clutch of 2 at a time. The egg will then spend the next 22-23 weeks growing until it hatches into a welp. Draconian welps are born fully able to walk and eat solid foods. They are however unable to speak or truly defend themselves, though they are rambunctious and try. They also cannot fly until they are older juveniles.
