Syntax: envenom <object>
The envenom skill is a cowardly skill practiced only by thieves, rangers,
and spellfilchers. It is designed to win a battle through alchemy and
treachery rather than skill or strength. Or, put another way, it's a skill
used by the smart to kill the foolish. Food, drink, and weapons may be
envenomed, with varying effects. Poisoned food or drink puts a mild poison
spell on the consumer, and is unlikely to be more than a minor inconvenience (after all, the typical adventurer could drink sewer water with only a trace
of the runs). A poisoned weapon, on the other hand, can inflict serious
damage on an opponent as the poison burns through his bloodstream. But be
careful, blade venom evaporates quickly and is rendered almost powerless by
repeated blows in combat. Some weapons can't be envenomed due to
enhanchantments.
Spell Type: Debuff
Attack Syntax: [Successful Attack]
Damage: 1d6
Damage Type: Poison
Remarks: Each time a creature or player is successfully attacked with a poisoned weapon, the victim must make a 1d20 + <Fortitude> saving throw at a DC equal to [6 + <Damage of the Attack> ]. Upon a failed save, the target is considered poisoned and takes 1d6 damage on each of their turns until they are either cured, or a successful fortitude save is made. Victim may make additional saving throws at the end of each of their turns.
