Forest Fae:
These faeries have a coloration based on the trees they are guardians or protectors of. They are wilder than most fae, usually having eyes going from forest green and moss green, to wood browns and red. Their hair is wild, perhaps not always tangled but tossed about and resembling leaves, pine needles, and twigs. This could be camouflage but also might be the actual color or texture of the hair. Their skin comes in earth tones, perhaps the color of upturned soil, rocks, or moss. Their wings are tougher than most fae, so as not to snag on anything. They resemble butterfly wings, but rather than being translucent, they are a solid color perhaps matching their eyes, skin or hair. They build nests in tall, broad branched trees, taking anything from the forest to build their homes, even the hair of passing humans and other creatures.
