Fortress kobolds are the most unique kobold race. They were bred from
dragonkin kobolds by their patron Dragon Deities, Shesha and Dharana, and are fierce fighters, never giving a quarter to any who disturb the peace of
the fortresses they are named after and the Dragons they once served.
There are four loosely connected 'families' of fortress kobolds. In RP, members of the same 'family' are treated merely as good, trustworthy friends.
Burnclaw: Blood red scales, ocean blue eyes.
The Burnclaw clan are ruthless. Fighters through and through. They burn with a fiery passion for their people and their clan. They are the vanguard, first to take up arms and the last to lay them down when wronged. They tend to prefer warmer climates.
Frostscale: Icy blue scales, Serene green eyes
The Frostscale clan is clever, tricky and slow to anger. However, when they do, they will ensure that those who wronged them are ended. They think through their plans carefully and act with a cold efficiency- usually using the arcane. They tend to prefer the colder climates.
Mosstail: Verdant green scales, Pure gold eyes.
The Mosstail clan tends to the healing arts and the more natural professions. They are studious by comparison to the other Fortress kobolds and tend to study the world around them, focusing on plants, poisons and healing remedies. They prefer more forested areas.
Flashfang: Scales of pure gold, ruby red eyes.
The Flashfang clan act as a sturrdy bulwark and shield for the other clans. They are strong and train themselves in defenses. They are fast and have taken the time to hone their bodies. More spiritual than the other clans, they hold the old ways and revere their ancestors and creators. They prefer mountainous areas.
