Gentle Grace

Keywords: GENTLE_GRACE, GENTLE-GRACE
Category: helpsys

When a mortal is fatally injured and there is no hope for recovery, the final moments can be excruciating and unpleasant. This prayer allows the healer to issue a set of whispered words which ease this transition for the sufferer. The patient falls into a gentle state of physical numbness while maintaining their mental abilities. They will feel quite tired and tranquil, but no pain. Their minds also will be eased into a serene state while awaiting their passage. When the prayer is issued twice over the target, the patient will pass completely into death. This should never be done lightly and only when there is absolute lack of hope for the person's survival.

Side Effect: Though highly rare, the Gentle Grace has caused a slight over-goal with some of the people resulting in a sort of euphoria. While this is not a horrible possibility, the same side effect often bounces back to the healer that performs the prayer. With the latter, the potency is magnified with a sudden striking of gleeful joy, often going so far as to inspire the healer to fall into physical fits of laughter. The side effect always ceases as soon as the patient passes to death.
