Products of rape quite often, Hanyou are still sometimes created by the union of a willing mortal and Demon couple, whether through a Demon who is unusually good-natured or an evil mortal looking for power in some manner. Regardless, Hanyou, like most crossbreeds, have no societies of their own, due to lack of numbers and a place to call their own.
Hanyou are strange beings, their Demon and mortal halves battling with each other quite often. Whenever a Hanyou is near death, the demonic blood within takes stronger effect, boosting the strength of the Hanyou, but at the cost of going into a senseless rage. Attacking friend and foe alike, the Hanyou will not stop until all he or she sees is dead around them, or the Hanyou is dead him or herself. Every time this rage occurs, there is a chance that he or she will be lost, not coming out until the Hanyou's death.
Hanyou's talents in crafting and skills often vary with the Demon half and the mortal half. The variety of skills a Hanyou can possess are staggering, though almost all Hanyou seem to be more focused on physical pursuits, the lower intellect of most Demon species taking its toll on the Hanyou.
Hanyou are most often fighters and rangers, taking on the skills of close combat and learning to fend for themselves quite quickly. Adventurers are quite common among the Hanyou, and nearly any profession can be seen in their number, due to their great versatility.
Much like most half-breeds, Hanyou have a hard time finding an intimate partner. The duration of these relationships, once formed, tend to vary greatly, again based on the races that make up the half-breed.
