A mage must always know when it is time to retreat. It's a bit difficult as most professions can physically make a retreat, but a mage is very much vulnerable when their back is turned. Combining a wind element spell, the invisibility spell, and the fly spell, magi have developed a means of retreating tactically. The Hidden Flight spell allows a mage to retreat in any direction. By lifting off of the ground and propelling themselves, they give themselves the escape velocity to make a retreat. By casting a cloaking spell on themselves, they prevent someone from tracking their whereabouts.
