The Queen or King meets with all the army leaders each week to inform them of changes, ask questions and hear comments. This kingdom has never seen war, though there was one attempt to poison a Sergeant for a misunderstanding. There was one execution of a garden fae who attempted to start a slander campaign of the Queen and her Lieutenant.
Legal Systm:
The Queen or King rules all, with the mayor under her. The Mayor is not in charge of the army however as it is a separate branch. The army mostly watches over the town and reports to the King or Queen on matters the Mayor misses. If someone wants to speak to the Queen or King, they first speak to the Mayor. If he can help them without her influence, he will.
Army:
There is no Navy, just one Army. The military is run by one Chief Commander who usually sits behind his desk unless needed. He is stationed at the palace with a few Lieutenants, Guards, a Major and a few Captains. These all keep the Queen and her entourage safe. Their uniforms consist of a light gray tunic, black britches, and leather combat boots. Their insignia is based on their rank, but usually displays the symbols for hope and peace in some form. They are kitted out with shields and the weapons they are good at using. The city military is run by a Commander, who answers to the Chief Commander when the Mayor is busy. He has a full squadron of Lieutenants, Majors, Sergeants, Captains and Guards. The only difference from the palace military to the city military is that their tunics are white.
Motto:
Their motto is Peace for All and Hope to the End. Coincidentally this is the motto of the city as well.
