Kitsuseiga

Keywords: KITSUSEIGA-MORE
The Kitsuseiga, as it is known, is an event that happens when the four moons of Tirradyn fall into perfect alignment. This event is a herald to a sometimes calm, sometimes chaotic time upon Tirradyn as the affects of the Kitsuseiga are varied. The natural weather cycles of the plant become highly unstable, is one of the more known affects. Snow in blazing deserts, hurricanes striking otherwise calm coastal regions, blizzards springing up from nowhere over fertile, temperate fields, all of these are but a taste of Kitsuseiga's affects.

However the most well known affect is that during this time, the Gods of Tirradyn are rendered mortal. Whatever causes this strange reaction causes other matters as well, besides just the weather. Arcane magic becomes immensely unstable, to the point of utter unreliability. A Mage attempting to light a candle might instead immolate their entire home or summon a Troll into their study or...the spell may do nothing at all. It is known however that Druidic and Psionic powers are affected to a far lesser degree, though even those attuned to Nature or those of the Mental diciplines feel some weakening as the flows of energy, the world over, become violently chaotic.

During this time however, wands/staves/scrolls/potions/runes and enchantments put in place prior to Kitsuseiga do continue to function as normal, so long as they were originally non-divine affects.

And OOC note is that this event occurs during the month of August every year and lasts for one week RL time.
