PK-REASONS

PK-REASONS, PK_REASONS, PKREASONS
Reasons you may use to justify initiating Player Killing (PK), be it code-combat or rp-combat:
Strong ones:
You can initiate PK with one or more of these reasons:
* Revenge - If A PKs B for reason 'x', then B PKs A for revenge, A cannot PK B or get a friend to PK B for revenge.
* In a group if A and C PK B, B can attempt revenge on BOTH A and C once.
Note: Attempting revenge can be once, you cannot repeatedly attempt to PK a player for the same reason, if your attempt fails then your reason is cleared.
* Revenge by mobdeath - A uses a Quest Pet to PK B. B can attempt revenge and it stops there, A cannot attempt revenge on B again.
Note: Please see help rp-pets, the same rules for globals apply in PK with this.
* A cool rp situation - mind you, a true rp situation - stealing a girlfriend, a court plot, etc.
* Assassination - A gets paid to PK B. - This is a special case. The killer doesn't need any other reasons, but the employer does.
* Revenge for a friend - C PKs B. C was then PKed by B for 'revenge'. So C's friend A gets mad and PKs B for his friend C. A and C no longer have a reason to PK B, however, B can PK A for 'revenge' but not C. Why? C has already been PKed once by B for 'revenge'.
* Assisting in a PK - If A made a portal/nexus/doorway for B to step through and PK C. This would be classed as assisting a PK and therefore C could revenge both A and B.
Mild ones:
Here are the reasons which, by themselves, do not justify initiating PK, but if joined, might - 2 will not always be enough, sometimes 3 will be needed depending upon specific circumstances. This is because some reasons will weigh more than others.
An example: Being teleported counts more than a spit, a spit counts more than being verbally insulted.
* Invasion of your guild.
* Invasion of your house.
* Spitting, swearing, general harrassment.
* Being teleported.
* Being slept.
* Being stolen from.
* Killing innocent people (mobs).
The Rules and Law:
If you feel a PK is unjustified without reason or a rule has been broken in regard to help PK or have a complaint please send an immrequest to imm with immrequest subject PKill Situation, <player name 1> <player name 2> (etc). The immortals reserve the right to judge each situation independently, and to change the above mentioned reasons, as they seem fit. Always log your PK fights. Always include your log or email it to tgmudstaff@gmail.com and advise in the immrequest that you emailed it so we are aware.
Once you PK someone, all your PKreasons are reset. That is, you won't have any reason left to PK the same person again. Even if you had 1,000 reasons, 1 PK eliminates them all. You can only think of PKing the same person if that person gives you brand new reasons.
'He was going to PK me so I killed him first', is not a good reason. If you attack first you must supply adequate reasoning and LOGS, if needed, of their offensive actions towards your character. Suspicions are not valid PK-reasons! All your reasons must be concrete, IE, you must be able to prove them if asked.
Punishment can result in moots in the order of around -5000xp or even jailing or temporary banning if things are really, really out of line. Attempting to PK with not enough of a valid cause or insufficient roleplaying is unacceptable. You are all adults. We expect you to act like it.
