Introduction
In generations past and times long forgotten, there have always been those who have risen to the call above the normal duty. They were Knights. Not as they are known in the land today, but something greater than the current lip service that has been paid to the varied titled leaders of Tirradyn in the current age. Long ago. there were those who stood for more than just their own beliefs. In this echo of the past, Knights that wish to rise on the Frozen Moon of Aglet will be amongst that of the old guard and old calling. Where loyalty, duty, chivalry, service and honor to a cause means more than the simply duty and obligation, but rather true allegiance and fealty.
Duty Versus Fealty
A true Knight of the Empire understands the difference between duty and fealty.
Duty is the obligation to uphold the law, the rules, and the responsibilities entrusted to the knight by the Empire.
Fealty is the root of honor, bound to the pledge. It is why a knight does his duty- serving their sovereign in a lifelong, personal vow of faithfulness. This transcends the tasks they perform. This is based on trust, service and mutual call for the vassal shall have the Lord's protection in return for their faithful service. They will be under their Lord's Noblesse Oblige as the common folk are under theirs.
Fealty is WHY; the heart of loyalty and honor. While duty is WHAT a knight upholds through their code of conduct and chivalry.
The Code of Duty
1. Uphold the Laws and Justice: Act in accordance to all the laws, rules and decrees of the Sovereigns, maintaining justice across the Empire.
2. Protect the Realm: Defend the borders, the cities, and territories of the Empire from external and internal threats.
3. Serve with Honor: Conduct yourself with integrity, humility and discipline at all times, setting an example of dedication and virtue to the Heart of the Empire through The Code of Conduct.
4. Prioritize the Common Good: Ensure that conduct and actions serve the welfare and benefit of the many, even at personal Sacrifice, for this is the selflessness of your Noblesse Oblige.
5. Maintain And Improve Readiness: Constantly hone your skills, strength, and knowledge to serve more effectively and be prepared for battle and service at all times.
6. Respect the Chain of Command: Obey and respect the hierarchy of the Empire as order is the foundation of strength.
7. Act in Selfless Service: Serve without expectation of reward, merit and duty are their own rewards. Act to protect, defend, and uphold the justice, borders and people of the Empire.
The Code of Fealty
1. Swear Loyalty Beyond Duty: Commit your heart and soul to the Empire and its rulers, beyond mere obligation; faith endures all trials.
2. Defend the Sovereign's Authority: Protect the ruler and the legitimate authority of the Empire from rebellion, treachery and chaos.
3. The Sovereign's Will: Measure your actions not by personal desires, but by whether they honor and advance the goals of the Empire and Sovereign. Your reputation is bound to those you serve.
4. Stand Firm in Loyalty: Remain loyal in times of hardship, doubt and danger. Do not abandon your oath regardless of circumstances.
5. Guard the Empire's Unity: Work tirelessly to maintain the harmony, order and rightful expansion of the Empire; resisting division, chaos and discord.
6. Support you Fellow Knights: Stand by your comrades in aid, counsel and courage; through darkness, weakness, peril, crisis and war; both internal and external.
7. Defend the Bond of Knighthood: Honor and protect the camaraderie of the Knights. Never betray or abandon your brothers and sisters-in-arms. Stand firm against discord and mistrust, valuing loyalty beyond external threats or rumors.
Ravelin's Code of Chivalry
Broken into four main Duties, a Knight of Ravelin embraces the four Orders of Chivalry.
Duty and Fealty to The Empire and Unity of People
- Serve the Empire�s expansion with honor, uniting diverse peoples in pursuit of common purpose and progress.
- Foster unity and cooperation by embracing understanding, respecting cultural differences, and aligning on shared ambitions and ideals.
- Promote peace through strength: wield military power judiciously to establish order, stability, and unity across the Empire and its domains.
Noblesse Oblige
- Cultivate personal virtue by embodying discipline, wisdom, and humility. Cultivate and understand personal growth elevates the entire realm.
- Lead by Example demonstrating courage, integrity and unwavering dedication to the Empire and people in all endeavors.
- Mentor and educate the future generations of knights and scholars, nurturing a culture of learning, excellence, and continuous improvement.
Duty to the Military and Civic Responsibility
- Defend the realm, its ideals, and its progress against chaos, complacency, and that which would bring destruction to its borders.
- Balance martial prowess with wisdom, employing strategy, calculation, intelligence, and restraint to foster understanding that true strength resides in mastery of both blade and mind.
- Serve the common good: recognize that conquest, when justly guided by the Sovereign, brings prosperity, stability, and enlightenment for all.
Duty to Progress and Knowledge
- Advance science and practical arts through the study, innovation, and the application of knowledge to create tools and technology that lead to a brighter, more prosperous future for the Empire.

The Code of Conduct applies to how a Knight and Noble should conduct themselves.
1. Act with Sincerity. Be truthful, be genuine.
2. Act with Responsibility. Be assertive, be confident in your actions to others.
3. Act with Frugality. Be temperate, be moderate, be generous in your charity to others.
4. Act with Politeness. Be civil, be courteous but to not let others mistake this for lack of resolve.
5. Act with Modesty. Be humble and remain grounded.
6. Act with Loyalty. Be faithful, be united with your comrades and ideals of the Empire.
7. Act with Compassion. Be empathetic, be sympathetic but to not let other mistake this for weakness.
8. Act with Perseverance. Be strong, be focused on the ideals and the goals to the end.
