The Dark Fae
The dark fae were created by the Earth Mother as a gift to one of those children born of her and the Dark Father. The faeries bonded with the child, watching over and guiding her. They are a relatively young race compared to others on Rethia. Their home in the Forbidden Forest is one that has long been steeped in myth and legend, and their presence only enhances the stories surrounding the wood.
They are a reclusive people, preferring to rarely leave their forest home. When they do, it is only for matters of great import, at least to them, or if the child of the Earth Mother and Dark Father they were gifted to visits. They care very little for the affairs of the outside world, and deal very harshly with any who intrude on their home with intent to harm or destroy.
They are different from other faeries that call Rethia home and they most certainly are different from Tirradyn's faeries. Their hair color ranges from pure white to the darkest hues of purple and blue, with their skin tone ranging from pale to dark as night. Their eye color varies from various shades of blues and purples to the slight rare occasion of gold. Their wings vary in shape, resembling those of a butterfly or even a dragonfly and can range from being diaphanous to being colorful shades of blues, blacks, and purples.
OOC: The dark faeries are a Rethian subrace of faeries, and any roleplay done with or about them should take into account their origins. Any questions regarding them should be directed to Immortal, Valafar, Sinsalee and Haelie.
