Nospam where For years it has been roleplayed by some that they could change their spells in roleplay to do minor things with them, and we have allowed it and said nothing because no one was using this undocumented ability in
ridiculous ways. However, not everyone is aware of this policy, and so we
are making it an officially allowed thing for spellcasters. Spells may be
used in forms of modified scale, but not modified action. They will still
always do the same thing as a full force spell, but casters can change the scale of power to smaller versions of the spell to perform a variety of menial tasks. Examples would be a scaled back fireball to light a candle, or a scaled back burning hands spell to warm ones hands in winter. The possibilities of what these modified and scaled back cantrip versions of spells can do is largely up to one's imagination. So feel free to bring such
things into roleplay however you will. If, however, it is during a global
and the use is beyond what the spell would normally do, whether it is allowed or not will be at the discretion of the DM running the global.
