SEKHYM-GENERAL

The Sekhym Elves are an offshoot of the Sylvan Elves common to Tirradyn. They are not a new people to Tirradyn, but they are secretive. Decades of negligence by the former Goddess of Magic led to them retreating into the deep, dark and wild places of Tirradyn, often eschewing large cities and the company of their elven cousins. Despite being solitary, they are a friendly people, willing to go out of their way to help a stranger in need. They are the self-proclaimed guardians of the leylines, the mortal lorekeepers of magic, rumored to include knowledge lost to the mortal races long ago. With the ascension of a new God of Magic, one that seems to treasure the Art, as well as troubling portents seen among the stars, they have begun to make an appearance again on Tirradyn, with a select few venturing out from their secluded homes to understand the new world they find themselves in.

SEKHYM-SOCIETY

The Sekhym do not restrict worship to one deity, or a few. The only deity not welcome among their people is the God of Destruction, Drugaal. They hold firmly to the belief that all deities have a place in the mortal world, and do not discriminate based on worship or belief. Among the magical creatures of Tirradyn, dragons are held in high regard among the Sekhym, as are the Kitsune, both for their connection to the varied paths of mystical arts. Vampires and those afflicted with the 'beastblood curses' such as lycanthropy are welcome in Sekhym society, so long as they, like everyone else, follow the laws of their people.

SEKHYM-APPEARANCE

The Sekhym are sylvan-elves that have spent so much time studying and walking the leylines of the world that the magic has forever altered them and their descendants. Their tattoos and markings, should they possess any, are luminescent, glowing against their very pale skin. Their eyes, which can range any variety of colors, have a faint shimmer, almost glowing. Their hair turns to a metallic sheen, regardless of the color.

*Note: While the majority of the Sekhym would fit these characteristics, there can be exceptions, as found in many races, both in-game and in-life. Please use your best judgment when developing these different traits, and if you feel it is extreme, please address it in an immrequest to Immortal.*
