A shaman in an oakheart that has gained all that they possibly can from nature, and instead of isolating themselves and giving in completely to it as forestals do, they choose to use what they have gained to help others. They put themselves among men and women, sometimes even becoming the leaders of small villages, to help them, and to guide them in a naturalistically
spiritual way. Though they have some skill in healing and in curing the
diseases of men, their greater strengths lie in their boons and
enchantments. It is also said that shamans are the only ones other than the
rover classes themselves that can remove harmful hexes. Shamans are said to
be the wisest of people, often able to see the big picture where others cannot, and able to see the many paths and choices that can lead to one outcome or another. This perhaps comes from their duality in living both with nature, and with people, giving them a wider outlook than most have. When fighting, shamans can be fierce. Though they tend to be defensive, often their defenses are such that those attacking them are hurt in the
process. Offensively they not only have their staff to work with, but also
an array of natural spells that pummel even the hardiest into submission.
