Important Slime Info

Here's a few notes and considerations to take into account if you wish to play a slime. They have their limitations and restrictions and these cannot and should not be ignored.

Since a slime appearance can vary greatly, have fun with your appearance. Need an extra hand for something? sure, pull slime from one part of your body to make that extra arm while you need it. The important thing to remember is that your slime is not infinite, so no 10 foot long arms. Keep it reasonably with considerations to your slime's current size. As such a slime is allowed shapeshifts to save these base forms to quickly swap between as needed.

While a slime can intentionally lose or regenerate their slime to change their size it does take time, and energy as stated in their respected files. You may not spontaneously go from minimum height to max height without some time passing. Likewise you may not exceed the max limit by any means. The max is set and cannot be broken without prior Imm approval. The minimum is also set in stone, if your slime ever drops below this minimum value their sole purpose should be to find the appropriate food source for your subspecies and regenerate up to at least this minimum value as your self preservation instincts kick in. Being below this minimum value puts your core at risk making it vulnerable to attack. If you're in this state and get dragged into rp combat you should RP in such a way that everyone knows your core is vulnerable and much easier to hit than normal. To handle this vulnerability, any crit that lands on you is considered to have struck your core. If you ever hit 0 RPHP from a core strike you go straight to death.

If your slime ever dies and you're looking for a way to revive them, be it with your extra life or other means, here's a few ideas of my own you can use, or maybe these methods will spark your own ideas.

1. All the pieces of your core could be recovered, magically mended since it is a stone at this point with some luck, more than likely lots of damaged memories be revived like any other dormant core.

2. Your "Extra Life" could be a new core that was kept safe somewhere with a backup plan in place to revive it should you ever die. Keep in mind that any memories gained since the creation of the core would be forever lost.

3. Enough of your core survive that you didn't fully die (But you still lose the RP life), RP having a fractured or damaged core, maybe have a personal quest to get it repaired and develop some quirk to rp out while your core is in its fractured state. Maybe your left side droops more than the right as that's the side of the core that's damaged so it's having a harder time keeping that bit of you shaped properly.

Slimes are meant to be a fun race with lots of options and opportunities so most importantly HAVE FUN when playing a slime.
