If you are interested in why things are, such as religion, war, peace,
and the state of the realm, then the Society of Philosophy is for you.
Our guild aims are:
1. For the free speech of all.
2. For the expansion of the mind.
3. To help those that feel they have no voice to be heard.
4. To promote the equality of each person's truth in a comfortable
setting.
The symbol of our society is a staff with an orb of light on top to
stand for the light of each person's truth and to recognize all
peoples need and freedom to speak.
Rules of the society:
1. No violence is to be given or administered by any member to any
member within the society's parameters.
2. Each person shall recognize the members of the society with a
salute or bow to show that as one has rank so all have rank.
3. Following that same vein each person shall address each member
with the title of his or her rank.
4. Any meetings held shall be approved by the Master or Mistress
of the society.
5. Loyalty to the society is paramount.
6. Any disciplinary measures shall be voted by all members of the
society and given out by the Master or Mistress or any of the rank
called council member.
7. These things are to be dealt with via warnings, not allowing for
each person to speak, invalidating someone elses truth, or by any
means demeaning another member of the society.
8. These things are to be dealt with harshly, violence of any member
to any member, disrespect of the Master or Mistress of the society,
destruction of society property.
Ranks of the Society:
1. Society Master or Mistress of Philosophy - These shall be the
leaders of the society, promoting flawlessly the ideals of its aims,
holding meetings, and otherwise alerting all those outside of the
society to know of discussions held.
2. Counselor - These are the enforcers of the society's aims and
rules.
3. Mediator - These shall mediate between disputing parties to
achieve if not a peaceful end, an understanding one.
4. Philosopher - These are senior members of the society, having
recruited, promoted, and kept the society's rules and aims to the
best of one's ability.
5. Recruiter - These folk will promote meetings, and help to
actively recruit members, or at least educate the society's aims.
6. Mentor - These will help the newly inducted society member in
the rules, aims, and protocol for conducting oneself in the meetings.
7. Questor - New member of the society. These are to learn and grow,
and understand the aims fully.
