In-Character Rules In order to maintain a respectful, immersive, and enjoyable environment for all players in our community, these rules are designed to promote fair play, uphold the integrity of our game world, and ensure that all participants feel safe and included. It is the responsibility of every player to understand and follow the rules. Violations of these rules may result in disciplinary action. Disciplinary Actions Violation of the rules may result in discipline up to and including banning from the game. Other disciplinary actions may include Jail Time, Channel Banning, Loss of Gear (Feeding to Bubba) or Temporary Suspension. 1. Child Characters, Age of Consent and SRP, The minimum age of consent is 18 years, and all Player Characters (PCs) must appear 18+ in both physical and emotional maturity. If a PC is under 18, they must have the NOSRP flag active, which prohibits any sexual roleplay (SRP) involving that character. Child sexual scenarios are strictly forbidden, and there are no exceptions or debates allowed on this matter. Players whose characters are perceived to be under the age of 14, both physically and emotionally, cannot use the In-Character (IC) communication channels. 2. Accountability for Actions, In-character actions lead to in-character consequences, meaning players are responsible for how their actions influence the story and outcomes. Some actions may require consent, including sexual RP and PVP actions. Please use basic respect for other players. 3. In-Character Behavior Specification, Actions in an IC room are considered in-character, distinguishing them from out-of-character (OOC) interactions. Player actions and dialogue should align with what is plausible for their character. 4.PVP Actions, Any player-versus-player (PVP) interactions must use the RP Combat system, and a Dungeon Master (DM) or Moderator should supervise when necessary, utilizing appropriate dice rolls when relevant. 5. Link-Dead Characters, A player who has gone Link-dead (LD) is considered to not exist in-game. No PVP type actions may be taken against them. 6. Public Spam and Etiquette, Avoid generally "spammy" behavior in high traffic public areas. Do not summon hostile mobs in public or safe areas, as this can pose a risk to low-level characters and confuse new players. Do not use spells like Utterdark, Summon Guardian or other spells that spam the area. No Questing using questmasters or pets in crowded areas, interactions with these elements should happen in less populated locations. 7. Character Naming, Character names must not be common words, similar to existing characters, or resemble those of immortals (imms). Names derived from well-known comics, novels, or any media with a wiki are not permitted. Use common sense and consult if unsure. 8. Communication with Immortals, Knowing an immortal's alternate character does not grant permission to contact them directly for staff-related inquiries. Respect their space and fun. Use the designated commands (like needimm) OR send an immrequest to communicate properly with staff. 9. Global Events Requirement for Leaders, Leaders of organizations like religions, guilds, or empires must host at least one global event each real-life year. This is an in-character requirement and could result in a loss of leadership position. 10. Life and Death Rules, Players can die from mob attacks without limit but have only three in-character (IC) lives available through PVP player-kill (PK) or Global/Event RP-combat. Upon creation, players start with two IC lives. A Third life may be purchased through questing. After IC death, characters become ghosts and must seek a means to return to life. Alternatively, a player may contact the Staff and return as an undead through a storyline.
