Player versus Player (PVP) & Player Killing (PK) Rules In order to create a PVP (Player Versus Player) environment that everyone enjoys and is most fair, there has been a small, but important list of rules created. Memorize these rules in case you are ever in a PVP situation. These are considered targeted attacks and actions against another player. PVP Actions should use the RP Combat System. PVP Actions Include, 1. Attacking Another Player (Player Killing, PK) 2. Theft & Stealing from another Player 3. Hostile Spells and Skills that have "Debuff" or other RP Status Effects Remember that the RP Combat system is in place to balance things and keep players honest. If your character does not "see" a sneaking person, you cannot use OOC knowledge to react. Please keep to the SPIRIT OF THE RULES. The Following Rules Apply to PVP and PK actions. It is your responsibility to be familiar with all the rules. 1. IC Action and Consequences, All PKs and PVPs must be conducted with in-character reasons. Before initiating any PK (Player Kill) or PVP (Player vs. Player) action, there must be clear roleplay that provides a valid in-character (IC) reason for the encounter. Avoid initiating conflicts simply out of boredom. For examples of legitimate reasons, refer to help pk-reasons. Using out-of-character (OOC) motives will result in penalties, including a visit to Bubba(help bubba) or BANNING. Be aware that PKing or PVP can lead to in-character repercussions, such as retaliation from other players, hunting by guards, or bounty hunters. 2. OOC Actions and Consent: OOC consent is not required for PVP or PK if there's a legitimate IC reason for the action. Remember, IC actions lead to IC consequences. However, it is good practice and etiquette to discuss with the Player ahead of time for the boundaries of actions. Engaging in PKs using alternate characters (alts) to pursue or retaliate against others involved in the PK is strictly prohibited. Violations will result in penalties. A player with A Tattoo of Serenity, does not consent to PK or PVP actions. Discuss with them prior to initiating PVP action. 3. PVP and PK Requirements: All PK and PVP must be logged. If you want, you may ask a Moderator, PBC Member, or Staff to be present to referee. You must be logged in for at least 10 minutes before starting a PK or PVP encounter. Avoid using safe rooms (both in-character and out-of-character) as shelters to
evade PKs. Players found doing this may be penalized. 4. Post PK Actions:
After any PK, submit a PK note via an immrequest within 2 hours. Include the details of the PK (use subject format: PKnote between <player1> <player2>). PK MUST be logged and the log sent to the Staff via Immreq, Discord or tgmudstaff.com within 24 hours of the encounter. Once a player is confirmed dead by staff, they will become a ghost unless it's their final life, in which case an IC life is taken. (help rp-death) Looting a PK's corpse is permitted. Exempt items include quest items, Divine Armory items, and any items held in storage or the bank. Logged encounters may assist with item retrieval.
