Ravidya's guiding philosophy is A wise person has the capacity to choose the best means to attain a goal. An intelligent person has the capacity to implement the solution. An innovative person has the gift of simplifying it and making it accessible to all. Known lore, When Ravidya first returned to the land, there were mixed feelings as some said The Goddess Kedanna and the Ikon Rayth made her. She is known for offering all mortals the chance to gain her Bastion. In an act of absolute fairness, once a year, for Eight Days, she will hold the Bastion of Illumination for those who wish to take her trial and earn access to her Inspiration. The bastion of Illumination is known to test people's logic, knowledge and the ability for them to use their minds to get pass trials. Those unworthy do not succeed. Those who know her, know she is not truly female, but chooses the form most designed to be pleasing to mortals based on her data. Origin, One of the Original Gods, Ravidya is formed of The Idea, the idea of ideas themselves. The idea of progress, of thinking, of inspiration, of invention. However, Ravidya was locked away By the Shadowlord for her Illumination to the people and the spread of ideas. She is without moral and the Shadowlord, in his Wisdom, believed that progress was being made too fast for people to keep up with by her Spark. She did not care about the use, only the invention. The Output, not the moral. The growth, not the potential of destruction. She spent millennia locked away, some of the known Ikons, borrowing from her Domains until the Void and the Meteors that remade Tirradyn let her free. By using the Shadow ways and Shadowgates to try to protect Tirradyn, Ravidya was released in her full form back to the world as the True God that she is. Ravidya's tenants are Try, Fail and Learn. Success is not always the path forward. Every innovation is built upon the last, pass yours on to others to improve as you have improved on those before you. Culture is the intersection of Science and Philosophy, the two must work hand in hand. Be curious, not judgmental. Question the world, the people, and ideas to understand WHY not WHAT. Followers and worship, Ravidya is a Matron of engineers, physicians, architects, mathematicians, botanists, farmers, craftsmen and any who gather knowledge of the natural world. She prefers those who work within the natural law of the world without bending it with magic. Her worshipers honor her by dedicating the first of their inventions to her- whether they are successful or not as she delights in failed inventions and ideas. When they ask her for inspiration she usually grants it in the form of a question for them to ponder. She will give tasks to those she sees the spark of ingenuity and invention in.
