Roleplay comes in all shapes and sizes. It is literally limited only by your imagination and the rules set by the staff of The Gathering. If before you came to Dragondale you were a rancher who had 50 cattle and some horses, then that story can be expanded on tenfold. How does your character act? Is he or she young or old? Does your character have secret hobbies or trouble making friends? You can also use the help files to research the continents and say for example you are a peddler from Tulgard. Do you like it there or do you find it not to your taste? Are you looking to move somewhere up in the world? Next are gmotes and to do a gmote you type out g m o t e all one word followed by your action. If you want to talk during this, you would use quotation marks. A saymote can be turned on by typing autosaymote and you would type say, then the words you want to say. For an action you would use brackets. Brackets by the p not parenthisies. Another note about gmote is that while talking or using an action you can use the at sign next to the person's name or key word to target them, and a number sign next to an object key word. An asterisk shift 8 will give you a different type of gmote if you type gmote Taking a deep breath, asterisk turns to face at woman and nods, it will put a name where the asterisk is. Leveling up with roleplay is not always easy but if you have a ready mind and maybe if a boon is available to augment the roleplay xp, you might get a few levels that way. Roleplay is also just good old plain fun so don't knock it until you've tried it.
