The Gathering... OOC RULES You are responsible for reading all NEWS, Immrequests and CHANGES to ensure you are aware of changes and rulings. Help PVP-RULES Disciplinary Actions, Violation of the rules may result in discipline up to and including banning from the game. Other disciplinary actions may include Jail Time, Channel Banning, Loss of Gear (Feeding to Bubba) or Temporary Suspension. TG is an ADULT roleplaying game. You MUST be 18 years of age or older to play on TG. If you are not 18 years old, you will be banned from the game permanently. 1. Respect your fellow players and staff. If you can't be kind, at least be polite. 2. There is Zero Tolerance for, OOC harassment sexual or otherwise. No means no. Doxxing� No giving out other peoples' personal information Hate speech and Slurs Ad Hominem (personal) attacks 3. In-Character (IC) Behavior: You are considered In Character while in an IC Room and actions are considered IC. (There are OOC rooms, osays and otells as well as OOC channels for discussions and chatting.) Your actions and dialogue should reflect what your character would realistically do. Do not use OOC knowledge in your IC interactions. For example, your character should not be aware of any information about other players that is not part of the game narrative, including details about other players' characters or alternate accounts (alts). 4. RetCon: The act of retrospective alteration of events in the game (retconning) is only permissible in cases of severe rule violations, such as being targeted or griefed by another player due to an OOC issue (see Rule 2 and Rule 3). 5. Abuse of Bugs/Mechanics, Do not misuse bugs or oversights in the game's code, or exploit mechanics in ways that contradict the intent of the game. Notify staff of the bug. 6. Legal Use of the MUD, Do not use the game for any illegal activities. 7. Triggers and Timers, Use of Triggers to stay connected to the game is not allowed. Do not use TRIGGERS or TIMERS while you are away from your keyboard (AFK). Only use them while actively engaged with the game, and be ready to respond if prompted. 8. Account Sharing is not allowed, including sharing characters between players. Multiplaying is allowed. Up to 2 alts may be logged in at a time. See help multiplaying for more guidelines. 9. Play Within the Game Theme, Your character must fit the established themes and settings of the game. Characters should not include elements (creatures, items, races, concepts, background) that are not accessible or do not exist within the game world. Play within the existing timeline of the game. 10. Advertising, You are prohibited from promoting or recruiting players to other MUDs (Multi-User Dungeons) within the game.
