Heroes- players who have reached level 100- are granted two handy commands for their dedication to playing. The first benefit is a personal OOC hero channel.
Hero Chat For an OOC channel for heroes.
Syntax: hero <text>
The other command is string. This allows heroes to restring your non-relic gear, food or rpitems, without having to spend Quest Points to personalize it. Stringing objects for use should conform to the general theme guidelines.
To string an object, it must be in your inventory. To bring the item to the top, so it is not confused with another object, use POP to bring it to the top of the list.
Syntax:
STRING OBJ <name_of_object> <field> <string>
Where the available Fields are:
Name: key words that can target the object
Short: the short description; what it will look like if worn or tagged in a gmote
Long: the long description; what the object will look like when on the ground
Extended: an extended description; appears when one looks at, examines the object or shows the object to another person. You will be taken to a text editor to add this description.
Taste: for use on food and drink items, will appear when someone eats or drinks the item. You will be taken to a text editor to add this description.
To put additional, unique extended descriptions to objects, the oextended command can be used. This allows you to add multiple extended descriptions with unique key words- for example a charms on a charm bracelet may each have an oextended keyword and long description.
Syntax:
OEXTENDED <object> <mode> <keyword> [...]
Where the modes are:
add: adds a new keyword with empty description.
appendkey: appends keywords to existing keywords
clear: clears ALL extended description on an object!
copy: copies an extended description from another object.
edit: puts you into the description editor for keyword.
remove: removes an extended description.
rename: renames keyword to new keyword.
show: shows extended descs
NOTE: A keyword can be more than one word - use 'x y' syntax.
