The Temple of Life was constructed in the early days of the Gathering, though its foundation was set not long after the inception of the realm, long before the gods came to bicker over territory. Only after the lady Death returned to Tirradyn with the creator of this realm was the full construction of the Temple taken up - the goddess did not ask for it, nor has she made any demands or wishes of those who live and serve her there. It is a place built of respect and gratitude for the gift of life she brings to all in this world. The Temple acts as safe haven to those in need, and violence within its walls is rare bordering on nonexistence. Several names within the Temple are recycled through generations: Temmen, Christopher and Ceres are among the list of these. Each name represents a position and responsibility within the Temple, replacing its holder's personal name until they should perish or give up the position to the next in waiting.
