Twisted Tongues
Keywords:
TWISTED-TONGUES, TWISTED_TONGUES, TWISTEDTONGUES
A linguist, with their deep knowledge of language and thus insults, can overwhelm an opponent with words causing confusion to gain advantage on persuasion. Often used by politicians and merchants to gain advantage in their dealings.
Syntax:
twistedtongues <target>
RP Combat Information:
Skill Type: Debuff
Attack Syntax: 1d20 + INT + CHA
Damage: N/A
Damage Type: Charm
Automatic Hit/Saving Throw: Willpower vs Roll Above
Remarks: The Linguist must spend 2 rounds speaking to the victim. In the second round the victim rolls their saving throw. While these rounds are going on, the linguist may take other simple combat actions that do not disrupt their speaking. If the victim fails their saving throw, the linguist may roll advantage on any roll against them. In addition, if the victim fails by more than 10, the linguist can convince the victim to side with them or go along with their suggestion. This suggestion may not extend to physical self harm.
Coded Combat: The command uses a two-round battle lag. On a failed Willpower save, attacks against the victim roll advantage for 1d4 rounds. If the victim fails by more than 10, they also hesitate and cannot attack for that duration.
