Below are several answered questions in regards to the Vampires of TG.

Q: How effective is blood fountain vs biting a neck? Also, how often do they need to feed?
A: Fountain vs. Neck - fountain isn't as fresh, but it does the job just fine. Think of it as the difference between fresh food and leftovers. As for how often you have to feed, we've always figured young Vamps feed more often. Their systems simply aren't as efficient yet as an older Vamp - but an older Vamp may well need to eat more in a single sitting, just due to the amount of blood they hold. Fountain blood > Animal blood > People

If a Vampire's vampage is between 1 and 149 years they will need to ingest at least 1 gallon or 3 liters every 24 hours.

If the vampage is between 150 to 299 years, they can go 3 weeks without feeding, but the next time they feed must be a large feeding, ingesting 3 gallons or 9 liters within a 48 hour timeframe.

If the vampage is between 300 to 599, they can go 3 months without feeding, but the next time they feed must be a large feeding, ingesting 4 gallons or 12 liters within a 48 hour timeframe.

If the vampage is between 600 to 999, they can go 1 year without feeding, but the next time they feed must be a large feeding, ingesting 5 gallons or 15 liters within a 24 hour timeframe.

Q: Are there established methods for 'stuffing' a soul into a Vampire?'
A: Any necromancer of sufficient power, or cleric aligned with a divinity that could allow for such, could go stuffing a soul into a corpse. However, this type of occurence can only occur with Staff input, be it via a global or special circumstances. Either way, an immrequest to imm inquiring is needed.

Q: If their heart doesn't beat, which is a factor in many different lores, the blood just absorbs into the skin? We ask because in some lore, the heart doesn't beat until the Vampire is feeding, and the blood causes the heart to beat temporarily.
A: We don't see the blood being ingested causing the heart to beat. The blood is diffused throughout the body to keep the whole works greased and working. Vampire's are also able to control the blood flow in order to allow for erections and sensitivity to the breasts as needed. This does not control size, however. Sorry.

Q: Do they have powers based on feeding or other special abilities? Like in The Masquerade/lore/etc.
A: Please refer to help Vampire-abilities.

Q: What causes someone to be a Vampire? Is it magic or a virus or what? A: Vampirism is a curse. Arguably one of the most vile. In essence it works by draining a person of their blood (in effective killing them) and feeding them the blood of another Vamp while in their death throes. The blood then takes over upon the moment of death, and viola! A new Vampire.

Q: Do we have non-blood Vampires, like energy or emotion Vampires?
A: This would be a succubus or incubus, as they are genrally an energy/emotion Vampire in that sense.

Q: Do Vampires need to sleep?
A: Technically, no - they're a corpse. Any "rest" needed would be due to strain upon their Vampiric system - exposure to silver, holy light or wood damage, using or loosing alot of blood, being gravely wounded via methods found in help Vampire-rp-combat, etc. Mundane activities though won't stress their system, so per se, no, they won't need to rest. However, though bodily it is not needed, a Vampire can still rest so to speak. Similiar to meditation. It's simply not resting due to weariness or tiredness.
