Vinum is the faith of the God of Wine, Dance, and Mischief -- Dionacus.

Vinum is not a religion about partying and getting drunk. Rather, it is a faith that, much like Volupta, celebrates something that is often maligned and misunderstood. It would promote not careless revelry, but instead, would encourage everyone to celebrate the simple things in life, to laugh and make merry even in the darkest of days. Vinum's faithful would delight in the playing of harmless pranks, both one one another and strangers. Victims of such pranks would be given a wineskin containing Vinum's 'holy water' as a gesture of goodwill for 'tolerating' the prank.

It is not a religion that makes with a lot of pomp and ceremony, unless that ceremony involves laughter, fun, and a good wine. Members are enshrined not after a series of intense, grueling interviews, but rather are enshrined after being the target of a few well-placed pranks and a couple casual conversations.

Members are encouraged, but not required, to experience all aspects of the worship. All paths, before deciding on their final destination. Enshrinement may be near-instant, but ranks must be earned. There will be tests, all of which will involve the spheres of influence Dionacus controls.

Ranks:

1.
Katastrofi - Leader, oversees the faith, recruitment and any festivals.

2.
Vitis - Assists with introducing new members to the faith and anything else required by the faith's leadership.

3.
Dispetto/Saltator/Vinsekk - Mischief/Dance/Wine in order. These members oversee their specific tiers, wether it be training, assisting with projects or answering questions.

4.
Dansari - This is the mid-level Dance rank. This rank is responsible for overseeing revelry within the faith and without. Encouraging others to live freely, to have fun and be spontaenous, as well as any other meanings they draw from 'Dance' on a personal level.

5.
Kaos - This is the mid-level Mischief rank. This rank is responsible for overseeing the placement of lesser pranks and mischief, as well as taking part in the instruction of lower ranks. They guide the lower ranks in their tasks, be it merrymaking or preaching to the general public.

6.
Negociant - This is the mid-level wine rank. This rank is given to those who understand the basic concepts of the faith and are deemed ready by the leadership to begin instruction in the inner-workings of the "vine" aspect of Vinum.

7.
Harlequin - This is the lowest Mischief rank. Once established in the faith, members of the "Enthusiast" rank are given small tasks, some serious, some frivolous. These tasks are intended to prepare them for the work they will do within the faith. Those that succeed in their "trials" are granted the rank of Harlequin.

8.
Vinifera - This is the lowest Wine rank. These members will be responsible for helping to manage the temple vineyards, as well as explaining not only how the wine is made, but how it is used in service to Dionacus.

9.
Sujet - This is the lowest-level dance rank. This rank is instructed in the ways of the Dance aspect. This includes assisting the higher level Dance ranked members in their personal projects.

10.
Enthusiast - This is the rank at which new members enter the faith and begin their studies, before deciding which path to follow.

Members will all begin at the lowest rank of Enthusiast. The length of time each person resides at this rank is up to Vinum's leadership. When it is determined that new members are ready for the next step, they will, along with leadership, determine which path is best for them and begin along that path. There are three tiers to Vinum's faith. They are as follows.

***

Dance - This tier does not focus solely on 'dancing', though such antics are definitely encouraged. Instead, they encourage a sense of whimsy, of playfulness, mirth and relaxation in daily life. Freedom of movement, speech and expression.

Wine - This tier does not mean drinking all day. It does not mean throwing drunken parties. At least, not on a daily basis. What it does mean, is this tier focuses on celebrating on the gifts Dionacus has given Tirradyn, including the gift of wine. Members sometimes teach supplicants, often at the temple vineyards, the basics of wine-making, allowing them to bring joy to the populace, as well as helping to spread the word of the faith.

Mischief - The Mischief tier is about teaching people how to laugh. How to enjoy life as it is presented to them. Pranks, jokes and silly antics are all part of this tier. Learning how to accept them, and how to perform them. To be a gracious victim, and a fair tormentor.
