The spell nexus and portal require you to obtain warpstones. These are
special items which will allow you to be able to cast the spell. Just hold
the warpstone and cast the spell. Portal creates a one gate to another
place. Nexus creates a two way gate to another place, both gates fade away with time. The location of warpstones is known only to the most advanced mages usually.
Such secrets are guarded, as a well timed portal could allow a whole army into a castle where many a siege engine may have failed.
