BRANDISH
Keywords:
BRANDISH, QUAFF, RECITE, ZAP, APPLY
Syntax:
zap <target> - will use a held wand on the target
brandish - will activate a held magical staff spell for the area
quaff <potion> - will quaff the targetted potion
recite <scroll> <target> - will recite the target scroll on the target
apply <target> - will apply a held poultice to a target
All of these commands use up their objects. Potions and scrolls have a single charge. Wands, staves and poultices have multiple charges/uses. When a magical object has no more charges, it will be consumed.
QUAFF will activate a magical potion (as opposed to DRINK, which drinks mundane liquids).
RECITE recites a magical scroll; the <target> is optional, depending on the nature of the scroll. If the spell is self only, it will target the user. If the user is not in battle, it will also target the user. If the user is in battle, it will target their current victim.
Poultices, Wands and Staves must be HELD before using them.
BRANDISH brandishes a magical staff, this will be an AOE room effect spell and will effect the people in the room. These are generally buff and healing effect items.
ZAP will activate that magical wand at a target. If the target is not specified, and you are fighting someone, then that character is used for a target. If the user is not in battle, the magic will target themselves.
APPLY will apply an herbal poultice.
These commands may require an item skill to be successful, see the help entries on the skills scrolls, staves, poultices and wands for more information on how to use them in RP combat.
