General Description and Biology

These are Sentient Simians, taking after a variety of monkeys or apes in
appearance. They seem to have a range of types from baboons to chimpanzees,
to gorillas, and everything in between. Some are fully hair like their
simian counterparts, while others do have more human skin with just ears and
a tail. This difference may be due to the purity of their lineage, but it is
unknown really what causes the variety in their appearance. They all have
the Simian type feet with long prehensile toes made for gripping. Many are
as dexterous with their feet as they are with their hands. Depending on
their variety, they may have a prehensile tail or not. Like their animal
simian cousins, they are quite strong, made for climbing. Their diets, like
humans are omnivorous, but some tend to a more fruitarian diet. The resemble
different types of apes or monkeys depending on the environment they are
from. They take after the coloring of their area. Sand tasellu tend to be
tans and light browns, Snow test to pale whites, Stone tasellu are grey but
it depends on the range they hail from. Jungle and Forest Tasellu tend to be
brightly colored like their environment with caramel colored skin.

Basic Personality

They tend to be jovial and friendly, but wary of strangers.

Origin and Lore

From the spotting of a camouflage colored man coated in fur that stood
seven feet tall in the yarrocki, to a tiny white furred, pink faced kid in
the snows of Elzeothis. The tasellu have long been said to be the myths of
drunken tales from travellers of all kinds. Those humanoid simian hybrids
have long since adapted to the climates they inhabit to avoid detection from
many. Every so often one is spotted out of their element, though such
encounters had long been classified as myth or those from the human tribes
of Tirradyn.

Naming Conventions

Varies. They tend to have a given name and a family or tribe name though.

Preferred Habitat

Depends on their simian type, but varies greatly.

Society Structure

They are a wary nomadic people who have formed tribal groups. There is a
known settlement- Kerbouchard, where some have settled in a communal group.
