General Description and Biology
Robust and large bear like beings. Some are fully furred, while others do
have more human skin with just ears and a tail. This difference may be due
to the purity of their lineage, but it is unknown really what causes the
variety in their appearance. They are large and tend to be heavy and plump
for their size. Their fur resembles that of a bear and has two layers, a
soft downy layer and a thick coarse layer. Most have a thick layer of fat to
help bolster them against cold. Some can hibernate, but they don't need to.
Most tend to conserve their energy. They also tend to have a sweet tooth and
are voraciously omnivorous. Their feet have long claws and their hands can
too. Those who have more of the bear features have long snouts and large
fangs. They can take after a number of different kinds of bears from
grizzlies to pandas.

Origin and Lore
Ursa are said to have been birthed by Primordials and the Goddess Cendria,
one of the earliest Nature Deities of Tirradyn, as protectors of the forests
and the natural lands. Formed from the protectors of the forest, the huge
and strong bears, Cendria gave them sentience to guard the lands. Over
time, they each chose territories and guarded the forests and the mountains
against that which would disrupt nature using their strength and
intelligence to ward off the dangers and imbalance to the lands.

Preferred Habitat
They prefer forests, but can be found in society from time to time. They

Society Structure
They tend to be solitary creatures and haven't formed a society per say,
but they will commune in small tribes in the woods. Rarely over a dozen in a
place at once. They do adapt to the societies and have been known to be
friendly with the Tribes and other peoples who keep to the forests.
