General Description and Biology

Vesrine are small, rabbit-like humanoids with an athletic, agile frame and a unique ability to leap and bound over long distances. Some Vesrine are fully furred, with thick coats adapted to colder climates, while others have human-like skin with only furry ears, a tail, and light fur patches on certain areas. They have large, expressive eyes in shades of brown, hazel, or gray that are round with large pupils. Some have human-like hair on the head in natural tones, styled similarly to humans. They possess highly sensitive hearing, an excellent sense of smell, and a deep love of carrots that is almost cultural in nature. Their natural biology includes a heightened sex drive, and due to their pleasing appearance and gentle nature, Vesrine are often sought after as pets or pleasure slaves by the rich and powerful. They reach adulthood at 12-14 years of age, maturing quickly.

Basic Personality

Vesrine are known for their curiosity, friendliness, and strong family values. They are adaptable and resourceful, thriving in creative pursuits and building close-knit communities wherever they go. While most Vesrine enjoy community life, some who adapt to urban settings may experience an unspoken, lingering desire for nature and open spaces. They are generally peaceful, but their high sex drive and playful demeanor make them desirable companions in elite circles.

Origin and Lore

Vesrine lore tells of a compassionate goddess, Kedanna, who took pity on a lonely rabbit and transformed it into an elf-like form to experience love and companionship. After a period of indulgence, the goddess returned the creature to a rabbit-like form but allowed it to keep its humanoid features. From this origin, the Vesrine were born, with Kedanna's blessing to experience love, closeness, and family bonds.

Naming Conventions

Vesrine names are often gentle-sounding, with a preference for nature-inspired syllables. Names may end in softer sounds to reflect the gentleness of their culture. Examples: Elara, Brin, Leoril, Sannith, Mava

Preferred Habitat

Vesrine thrive in rural, nature-rich areas, including woodlands, groves, and open plains. They normally avoid large cities, preferring close-knit villages or secluded areas where nature is abundant.

Society Structure

Vesrine society is split into three main cultures: Orthodox, Warren, and Humanistic. Orthodox Vesrine follow traditional druidic practices and maintain small, secluded communities devoted to nature. Warren Vesrine live in bustling, tightly packed villages, often governed by family heads and centered around artistic and mercantile pursuits. Humanistic Vesrine have integrated into broader society, adapting to urban life while often retaining a quiet yearning for nature.
