Cavalier [Subclass]

Keywords: CAVALIER, MOUNT-SUMMON, MOUNTSUMMON
Category: command
The Cavalier subclass is for characters that want to excel in all things having to do with mounts and mounted combat. They are superb at all forms of riding and control of their mounts. Though they tend to bond with one animal and ride that one primarily for everything they need a mount for, they can ride any animal with equal skill. Cavaliers gain automatic maximum skill in both riding and animal training, which allows them to mount and break wild creatures into trained mounts.

MUD Skills:
Mount Summon Charge Mount Kick Rear Kick Jump Kick

Mount Summon: The ability to summon a mount when a cavalier finds themself without one.
Syntax: mountsummon

RP Advantages and Skills:
Mounted Combat: A Cavalier is skilled in mounted combat and can perform either melee or ranged attacks while mounted. In addition, their mount may also perform a melee combat attack during their turn while in combat. The mount may make a bite, stomp, or claw type attack during the Cavalier's turn for 1d6 + Mount Damroll. The Cavalier's trained mount may use the Cavalier's RP Stats for combat. A Summoned mount has half of the Cavalier's RP Stats. Other Stats of the mount may be approved prior by the DM.

Mount Summon: If a cavalier finds themselves without a mount, dismounted or their mount killed or otherwise hindered in combat, they have the ability to summon a new mount. This action take one round to activate and may be up to the discretion of the DM given circumstances. The mount summoned is temporary and may only use half of the Cavalier's RP Stats in combat, unlike their trained mounts. When combat is over, the Cavalier may choose to keep the mount, or dismiss it.

Mounted Combat Skills: The Cavalier's mount may take one action during the Cavalier's combat turn to use the special skills Charge, Mount Kick, Rear Kick or Jump Kick. See associated helpfiles.

Charge, Mount Kick, Rear Kick, & Jump Kick: See helpfiles as above.
