Below are several answered questions in regards to the Dhampiels of TG.
Q: Are Dhampiels like Vampires in that they can be killed by drinking Lycanthrope blood?
A: Any fluid exchange of a Dhampiel and a Lycan, like with a Vampire, can be dangerous. This includes blood, saliva, tears, urine, semen, vaginal fluids or ANY other bodily fluid. If the quantity of fluid intake is less than 1 liter or 4 cups, then it will only make the Dhampiel nautious enough to throw up any ingested fluid and to be sick for a 12 IC hours. If a Dhampiel were to ingest or allow bodily fluid of the Lycan into their blood stream or body in a higher quantity, then they are to make a Fortitude save.
Quantity:
For intake of 1 liter or 4 cups: DC 12
For intake of 2 liters or 8 cups: DC 15
For intake of 3 liters or 16 cups: DC 18
For itanke of 4 liters or 32 cups: DC 20
If the Dhampiel fails the above saves, then they will be sick for the number of days based on the liter referenced above. 1 liter = 1 RL day, etc. The sickness will be similiar to a hard-hitting flu.
If the Dhampiel passes the above saves, then they will still be throwing up and feel ill, but once they puke it out, they will begin to recover.
Q: How do Dhampiel and Vampires differ?
A: Please see help dhampiel. Dhampiels have a long life range, yet they are not 'immortal' as Vampires are known to be. They are a lot like Vampires - their bodies process blood as fuel, yet they can also eat regular food and drink and take sustenance from it. They will still require intake of blood in some amount.
While it would not kill the Dhampiel to stop drinking blood, it would most definitely make them weaker, more tired, and less able to concentrate or focus until it is they remedy this. Quantity by Age:
Infancy to puberty: 1 liter of blood every day.
Puberty to 50 years: 1 gallon or 3 liters of blood every other day.
50 to 100 years: 1 gallon or 3 liters of blood once a month.
100+ years: 1 gallon or 3 liters of blood every 3 months.
Q: How are Dhampiel created in this world?
A: The exact reasoning is known only to a select few, but they are even more unnatural than Vampires. They are abominations that are born, not made.
They waver a bit between favoring a more living or undead state - the habits of the Dhampiel typically reflect if they cling to their humanity or fully embrace being a blood sucker. All offspring created from a Dhampiel is a Dhampiel.
