DYING

Keywords: DYING, CORPSE, DEAD
When your character dies any spells that were affecting you are cancelled upon death. If you follow and are grouped, dying will not affect it.

All characters get 2 IC lives by default and can purchase one more at the Quest master. You do not lose an IC Life through dying from mobs (non-player characters) but you do lose experience points for dying:

* If level <= 20, the amount you lose is two-thirds of the experience you have earned since the gaining of your last level.

* If level > 20, you lose a constant 500 XP per death, and can lose a level.

Upon Death, you will face the The Underworld Avatar and The Avatar of Death who will discuss your fate then send you to the Dragondale Morgue to reclaim your body and items.

Corpses decay after time, lasting roughly
30 hours of game time (15 minutes of real time). When a player's corpse decays, the equipment is left on the ground where the player's corpse was. After death, corpses are usually within the Dragondale Morgue, which is found DOWN from Seir's Temple in Dragondale.

If you died from a player killing you or from a Global event, you will lose an IC life.
