command
The Event Calendar tracks holidays and scheduled events using Central Time (America/Chicago). It is separate from Tirradyn's in-character calendar, dates, months, and eight-day week, instead mapping events to the real-world time of the event or holiday for player's convenience.
Syntax:
calendar - shows current and upcoming events
calendar today's - shows events active today
calendar upcoming <days> - Shows events beginning within the requested number of days. If no number is supplied, the default range of 30 is used
calendar status - Shows whether calendar notices are enabled for your character
calendar <on|off> - Enables or disables calendar announcements and login notices
Calendar event names may be clickable when a matching helpfile exists.
Timed events display their scheduled Central Time. All-day events may be announced when logging in, while timed events can give an advance warning before they begin. Some events may award gold, quest points, or objects. Object rewards are delivered inside a holiday reward bag.
NOTE: Turning calendar notices off only disables announcements and login notices; it does not disable event rewards.
